The SEC Business Group HD Floating Diagonal Plough – PSA removes spillage,
rocks, and debris from the return side of the conveyor belt before they
reach tail pulleys or other critical components.
The plough floats on the belt under its own weight, allowing the tapered
polyurethane blade to maintain consistent contact with the belt surface
for effective cleaning performance.
Supplied standard in stainless steel construction with copper bush pivot
assemblies, providing reliable operation and long service life in
demanding bulk material handling environments.
Description
The SEC Business Group HD Floating Diagonal Plough – PSA is designed for
heavy-duty conveyor applications where material must be removed to one
side of the return belt or where a diagonal plough configuration is preferred.
Installed on the return side of the conveyor, the plough effectively removes
spillage, rocks, and debris before they reach critical components such as
tail pulleys or bend pulleys.
By removing material early, the plough protects conveyor belts, pulleys,
and structural components from damage while reducing maintenance
requirements and improving overall conveyor reliability.
The plough operates by floating on the belt under its own weight, allowing
the tapered polyurethane blade to maintain consistent contact with the belt
surface. This floating design ensures efficient cleaning performance while
adapting to belt movement and operating conditions.
The side assemblies incorporate copper bushes on the pivot pins, ensuring
smooth movement and maintaining the floating action throughout the entire
service life of the blade. This design improves reliability and ensures
consistent cleaning performance over time.
In applications where larger materials may bounce along the return belt,
an optional Stoneguard can be installed. Positioned between the polyurethane
blade and the steel frame, the Stoneguard forms a raised shield that repels
rocks and debris that might otherwise bypass the plough and damage downstream
components.
