Return-Side Conveyor Protection

The SEC Business Group Torsion Plough is designed to remove carryback, rocks, and debris from the return side of the belt before they reach the tail or take-up pulleys, protecting critical components from premature wear and costly damage.

Controlled Torsion Arm System

The engineered torsion arm applies consistent, controlled pressure to the polyurethane blades, ensuring effective material deflection while minimising blade wear and reducing maintenance requirements.

Flexible Construction Options

Available in Standard Duty and Heavy Duty configurations, supplied in galvanised mild steel or stainless steel construction.
Optional Stoneguard protection available for high-impact applications.

Description

Reliable Return-Side Protection for Conveyor Systems

The SEC Business Group Torsion Plough is engineered for installation on the return side of the conveyor belt
to remove rocks, debris, and carryback material before they reach the tail pulley or take-up pulleys.
By intercepting material early, the plough protects the belt, pulley, and lagging from premature wear and costly damage.

The torsion arm system applies controlled, constant pressure to the polyurethane blades,
ensuring effective material deflection while minimising blade wear.
This balanced pressure allows reliable performance without excessive strain on the conveyor system.

A key design feature is the two-piece clamp arrangement, eliminating the need to cut or replace poles if a torsion arm seizes.
This significantly reduces maintenance time, lowers labour costs, and improves overall serviceability.

Available in both Standard Duty and Heavy Duty configurations, the Torsion Plough is supplied
in galvanised mild steel or stainless steel construction to suit various operating environments.

Optional Stoneguard Protection

In applications where material may bounce along the return belt, an optional Stoneguard can be fitted
between the polyurethane blade and steel frame. The Stoneguard forms a raised shield that repels
stones and debris that might otherwise pass over the plough and cause damage to downstream components.
