Description
SEC Business Group Rubber Disc Return Rollers are designed for installation on the return side of conveyor belts in low to medium duty applications where carryback is a concern. The rubber disc configuration helps dislodge material build-up on the belt surface, preventing accumulation on return rollers and improving overall conveyor performance.
By removing material from the return belt, these rollers help maintain conveyor cleanliness, reduce maintenance requirements, and extend the service life of conveyor components.
The rollers are manufactured using a robust steel shell with bearing housings either welded to or machined directly into the shell.
This construction eliminates the risk of the housings separating over time due to heavy loading, moisture ingress, or thermal expansion.
The bearing housing design also removes the sharp edges typically associated with shell failures, reducing the risk of belt damage caused by the traditional “pizza-cut” effect.
SEC Business Group Rubber Disc Return Rollers are fitted with 2RS NSK greased-for-life bearings and incorporate double-sided triple-labyrinth seals along with an additional dust seal featuring a labyrinth design.
This advanced sealing system protects internal components from dust, water, and contamination, ensuring long service life in demanding operating environments.
The rubber discs are securely pressed onto the roller shell and separated with steel spacers to maintain consistent spacing and effective cleaning performance.
For applications requiring enhanced carryback removal, rollers are also available with a spiral rubber ring configuration. This design provides more controlled and continuous cleaning action along the return belt.
Suitable for a wide range of materials handling operations, these rollers can be used in environments ranging from small quarry operations through to large-scale mining applications including iron ore, hard rock, and coal operations.
They are also suitable for underground installations and can be supplied with FRAS rubber where required.
