The SEC Business Group Torsion Plough is designed to remove rocks,
debris, and carryback material from the return side of the conveyor belt
before it reaches the tail or take-up pulleys,
protecting critical components from premature wear and damage.
The engineered torsion arm system applies consistent, controlled pressure
to the polyurethane blades, ensuring effective material deflection
while minimising blade wear and maintenance requirements.
Available in Standard Duty and Heavy Duty configurations,
supplied in galvanised mild steel or stainless steel construction.
Optional Stoneguard protection available for high-impact applications.
Description
The SEC Business Group Torsion Plough is engineered for installation on the return side of the conveyor belt
to remove rocks, debris, and carryback material before it reaches the tail or take-up pulleys.
Installed prior to these critical components, the plough protects the belt, pulley, and lagging
from premature wear and costly damage.
Designed for both standard and heavy-duty applications, the Torsion Plough provides dependable
protection in a wide range of bulk material handling environments.
The torsion arm mechanism applies a light but constant pressure to the polyurethane blades,
ensuring effective deflection of material from the belt surface.
This controlled pressure allows efficient cleaning while minimising excessive blade wear.
A key design advantage is the two-piece clamp arrangement, eliminating the need to cut
or replace poles in the event of seized torsion arms.
This significantly reduces maintenance time, simplifies servicing, and lowers long-term operating costs.
In applications where material may bounce along the return belt, an optional Stoneguard can be fitted.
Installed between the polyurethane blade and the steel frame, the Stoneguard forms a raised shield
that repels rocks and debris that might otherwise bypass the plough and cause damage to downstream components.
Stoneguards are available in galvanised mild steel or stainless steel and are compatible with:
